I guess I was in Nha Trang at the wrong time. In all my travels in Asia over the 2 month period, I hadn't visited a beach resort that was this substandard. I loved all of Vietnam especially beautiful Dalat and the faster paced Hanoi and Saigon. But, Nha Trang had it's problems, apparently medical wasted had been dumped overboard at sea and it's remains had washed up on shore. This turned me off completely to the resort all together, and i'm not one for beach resorts anyway. The bars were pleasant enough, but if you're looking for a beach resort, I would suggest skipping Nha Trang altogether.

Ms. Coomber did a great job of feeling the spirit of Nha Trang and then expressing that feeling in words.
Everything she says is true, and even more so. I just returned from Nha Trang and I can't stop of thinking how I can go back there and make a living! The place is very special but the residents there make you fall in love with it all.

I really enjoyed samantha's article on nha trang and, as a result, will make sure thast i allow myself an open departure date on my way from saigon to the laos border.
sorry that i gave you ** samantha, like all travelogue sites, thingsasian has a limited response to the less computer-literate. shame, as i would like to post some essays on the site.
