The jeepney projects the kind of artistry that asian at the same time with western themes. You look at the paint art, it is indeed awesome to look.. now here comes a smaller jeepney called multicab which projects the knitted culture in Philippine society, closer as you can get with other passengers. http://www.cebuspring.com/shem.htm - look at picture

I really enjoyed your Jeepney article. I was stationed in Panama in the Air Force. In Panama City they have a truck left over from the making of the Panama canal. They were old 20's to the 50's Ford and Chevy trucks. There they call there buses Chivas. The Chivas are decked out in every color , with chrome , lights and mirrors and as of this writing no restrictions.

I live in the state of Maine, Here in car loving United States. LOL!
I have many friends and a fiancee and her son on my yahoo 360 who have mentioned this wonderful jeepney's. I would love to here more about them from you and others like you who are building and driving them. I'm really suprized that you haven't taken the jeepney's in other drections, such as recrational uses.

nice article joe!! im a pilipino!!! and wat uv said are nothing but the truth... but i think u shud visit my place hir cagayan de oro city, phils.. hir u can see a modern brands of jeepneys... manilenos jep are nothing , compare to our jeeps here....... f u have time visit us men!!! tnx... peace!!!!
