Biographical Info:

I am a teacher and a MA student at the Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney. My interest in Asia comes from a long-held love of Asian folklore, myths and legends. I visited Indian Kashmir in 2003, presented a paper on the effect of violence on children's personal writing at the Asian Conference on Storytelling in New Delhi in 2005, and worked as an International Observer for Sri Lanka's November, 2005 Presidential Elections. My writing is inspired not only by the cultures, ceremonies and serendipity of Asia but also by the courage of those working to make a difference.
