I have always preferred more uncoventional means of travel and believe what we take from one's landscape can be transformed to a new and better mindscape. Vietnam is my only Asian travel experience and since my journey, want nothing more than to return. Navigating through traffic on a mountain bike in Nha Trang or traveling Highway 1 to the Mekong Delta at speeds exceeding 110MPH define true travel adventures. I enjoy the electricity of the city, but equally appreciate the rural countryside and the discovery of people and places uninhibited and true to their roots. It is both rewarding and humbling to be welcomed into homes with little to no livelihood and witness the generosity and pride in such an existence. I believe it makes us better travelers, better Americans, and it forces us to appreciate the simplicities in our lives we often overlook.
