The Corndog lady worked diligently throughout the festival, feeding all who came with money delicious, nutritious corndogs. Tents selling all manners of things offered some of the only shade to be found. Milk, Bizarro darlings of Taiwan?s rock scene, performing a blistering set incorporating Zappa-esque guitar solos, gyrating dancers, and a man in a leather thong and bunny mask who, when this picture was taken, was crowd surfing. Dropping knowledge about Buddha nature and the five-fold path, Shambhala was one of the hottest acts at Spring Scream Dog. Check them out at http://www.shambhalatrue.com/. The unsung heroes of Spring Scream were the volunteers who manned the gates, cleaned the grounds, and basically helped to keep the festival running for ten days. An amazing performance Backed by a drummer and bass player, singer/ guitarist Gao Xiaogao moans sultry lyrics while raging across the stage like a she-devil in flip-flops. Wade Moe, half of the team that started Spring Scream in 1995, jamming on stage. They were from Japan, and they were a band. That's all I recall. Once upon a time the festival was held close to a beach much like this one (but not this one). Now its moved inland, safe from tsunamis.
