This is a new born currency in the Iranian monetary system.

The 50,000 Rials or 5,000 Tomans is a new bill that came in the hand of people few months ago.

In the front bill has picture of the Ayatollah Khomeini and in it's back has Iran map outline with atomic symbol of electrons in orbit symbol. The watermark is Ayatollah Khomeini.

The new note for 50,000 Rials, worth the equivalent of about $US5.40, will be the largest in circulation.
