The charm of Nalanda ,the oldest residential University is something unique. It is full of monasteries,I have just pasted above one photo which I have taken and posted in another blog site. But I feel ,all should know certain things in and around. The Univeristy had +20000 teachers and the photo above is of a temple and stupa which was there in front of each monastery which is called Vihar.

The place has significance because of Chinese travellers book,Buddha,Mahaveer and surprisingly the subject taught started right from theology to medicine. The extreme left is the passage to hostel and library and the teaching hall. The thickness of wall ,well built, well planned structure excavated will force all archeologists to think.Even the bathroom drainage system, the teachers' teaching platform all are subject of study and research.
