I love cooking as well as any kitchen snippets. Tet holiday is the occasion of showing my talent of cooking and win all family members.

I saw my mom's tips to soak Dua hanh (onion) and I am really satisfied by her recipe. simple recipe still brings the best flavor.

Dua hanh is prepared about 2 weeks in advance to serve with Chung cake (square glutinous rice cake) right at Tet holiday.

Onions are peeled and then soak into rice water overnight.

It then drained and soak with sugar, salt and chilli for days.

Add some slices of ginger to bring better flavor and keep the onion white color.
