You probably would not be able to find Restaurant Melody just by looking for the signboard – there is none! This restaurant is located next to the State cinema in New Town Petaling Jaya. A corner unit, this "almost" dilapidated-looking shop is where you will find one of the best char kuey teow (fried flat noodles) in town. While the ingredients are practically the same as just about any other stall, yet this particular one is fried just right – sizzling hot and most importantly, aromatic. Each bite is scrumptious while the cockles are done just right! Have it with chili or none, but personally, char kuey teow with chili tastes much better.

There is a large-sized plate and a small-sized one. Price range from RM2 to RM4. If you are not a fan of char kuey teow, there are also other stalls that sell a variety of food. There are curry laksa, fish ball noodles, minced chicken kuey teow, Hong Kong fish paste soup, mee Jawa (Indonesian-style noodle soup), porridge, chee cheong fun (rice sheet noodles in sauce), yong tau foo (stuffed tofu or vegetables with fish paste), and more. The curry laksa is also pretty good, so do check it out as well.
