A number of restaurants owned by Chinese families dot the dingy lanes and by-lanes of Tangra. All of them offer authentic, scrumptious food but if you are fastidious about the ambience, China Haus is your best bet.

The restaurant started in 1996 and its reputation has skyrocketed since then. Apart from the regular items on the menu, China Haus adds 12 new
recipes to the existing items every month. The starters are very popular here: Crispy Chicken Stick, Szechuan Fish Roll, Thread-it Chicken (chicken breasts rolled in noodles and deepfried) and Satays. Food is cooked with a
light hand, without using too much spice. However, they can be customized to suit individual tastes.
