Description:
A true Shanghai institution, the Yifu theatre is where visitors and locals alike go to see genuine Beijing Opera performed by a variety of troupes. As in any theatre, ticket prices vary by seat, but unlike theatres in the west, low-priced seats are almost always available, ensuring that nobody is turned away. As of this writing (Spring 2003), tickets can be booked online at a 10% discount. Call, stop by or visit the website for a current schedule.
