Description:

The stretch of Yanta road between Youyi Donglu and Jiendong Jie is known as the bird market. The road is lined with stores selling exotic birds, fish, and even plants. Recently though, birds seem to be taking a back seat to fur bearing pets, and now there seem to be more people selling puppies, kittens and even the occasional guinea pig along the road. While buying a pet isn't usually on the top of the traveller's 'to do list', visitors are are often found getting into some light petting along this road.
