Description:

If you hop in a cab and ask to be taken to the hua niao shi chang (bird and flower market), you might wind up at this place instead of the more popular one by Dongfeng road. And that might not be a bad thing. While this market deals primarily in aquatics and exotics (fish and plants), there are other things to be found here for the careful eyed shopper, antiques and the like. The Bai Long market also has a section devoted entirely to dog and puppy sales, not practical for most travelers but interesting nonetheless. Bai long bird and flower is also far less tourist-y than the more well known B&F market across town.
