Description:

GIDDY GECKO BAR/LOUNGE/PUB
After we had spent most of the day climbing around the remarkable temples of Angkor Wat and Bayan, we had a late afternoon dinner on the balcony of the Soup Dragon Resturant on Pub Street.

Then we explored the entire area and found ourselves in sort of a dark alley right behind the Temple Club. We relaxed and visited with the owners of this uniquely decorated Giddy Gecko lounge/bar/pub which is one of Siem Reap's newest.

We enjoyed Tiger beer and a few rounds of apple flavored water pipes - we think these are the only water pipes in Siem Reap.

Since we are sorta "over the hill" and my husband had lugged his laptop all around for hours, he was happy to relax and read his emails.

Late in the evening we got hungry again and asked for a food menu. We were able to order a great pizza from across the street.

Needless to say, we hailed a tuk-tuk for a welcomed ride back across the river to our guest house for a good night's sleep.

Giddy Gecko now has AC in lounge and big screen TV for sports and movies. This should provide a much more comfortable atmosphere for customers to enjoy.
