Description:

Beyond Angkor Wat Siem Reap has so much to offer avid collectors of art and culture. The Institute of Khmer Traditional Textiles was founded by a Japanese silk expert in 2001 to revive the country's deeply rooted tradition of silk weaving, almost wiped out by the Khmer Rouge. The workshop on the outskirts of Siem Reap demonstrates an inspiring history and exceptional work of local artisans.
