Description:

Lobby bars are all about anticipation, of a choice single malt, of a romantic evening, of a dangerous liaison. At the new Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, that first nip of the night is set on the edge of a grand stage. Through a bank of panoramic windows, the Mekong River sweeps by in the near-distance. In close, a marble-topped bar fronts a bespoke tower containing a selection of 120 labels. Trolleys of cheese and champagne wind by throughout the evening, and a piano player, from a unique pedestal, plinks out a nightly soundtrack.
