The scenic Langde Miao village (prefecture Qian Dong Nan, Guizhou province) is quite touristic, but the many Chinese tour groups are mainly interested in the folkloristic performance of the villager and the "handcrafts" offered for sale. Hence only the village square is overcrowded, while the remaining village stays calm and peaceful.
The surrounding landscape offers plenty opportunities for hiking and strolling around, the nearby river can be used for swimming and fishing.
To visit the village a fee has to be paid (if I remember correctly it was 50Y/person), but it might be that the fee has to be paid only when a performance is upcoming.
