Recipe: Stir-Fried Vegetables - Sayur Goreng
Serves about 8
4 Tbs. cooking oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 small hot pepper, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
3 cups shredded cabbage
2 cups shredded carrots
1 cup thinly sliced zucchini
1 large sweet pepper, quartered and thinly sliced
1 can baby corn, drained
2 Tbs. tomato paste
2 Tbs. soya sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 Tbs. shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, quartered and thinly sliced
Heat oil over medium/high heat, then sauté onion, hot pepper and garlic for 5 minutes. Add cabbage, carrots, zucchini, pepper and corn and stir-fry for another 5 minutes. Thoroughly stir in tomato paste, soya sauce, salt and pepper, then place on a platter. Decorate with lettuce and tomato, then serve hot.
