Then next to it, you will not miss Wu Gorge, which extends 40 kilometers from the mouth of Daning River of Wushan Mountain inm the west to Guandukou of Badong in the east. With its exquisite forest-covered peaks and lush mountains and ranges, Wu Gorge can be definitely a godsend.
Finally it comes to Xiling Gorge, which is covered with high mountains, gullies, dangerous shoals and hidden reefs of varioius sizes. The best-known perilous shoal is Qing Shoal.

The Yangtze River, one of cradles for Chinese Civilization, the third longgest in the World, starts with the Tuotuo River at the Roof of the World-Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, takes in countless rivers, and flows eastward across the interior of China.

It cleaved a path and made its way through the mountains to have formed these unique beautiful, magnificent, and wonderful gorges-the Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, and Xiling Gorge, which have showed the magical artwork of nature with their marvelous and stunning beauty of mountains and waters.
