Jim Algie
Biographical Info:
Jim Algie is a freelance writer based in Bangkok on and off since the early 90s. His travel, crime, and entertainment stories have been published all across Asia. He has also contributed to The Time Out Guide to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and the Islands (Penguin UK), To Asia with Love (Things Asian Press) and edited the book Flavours: Thai Contemporary Art. His short stories set in Thailand have been published in several American anthologies and picked up three prizes. Originally from Canada, he spent the 80s playing in a number of Canadian underground bands, touring the world, releasing three albums, and getting called "the Keith Richards of the bass guitar" by The Montreal Gazette.
